BioSteve Install Procedure

1. Connect BioAccoustic Simulator response switch to BioSteve (1/4 headphone jack)
2. Connect BioSteve USB-C cable to Amtas
3. Install USB-C to Serial adapter Driver (windows update or https://www.usconverters.com/usb-c-serial-rs232-adapter)
4. Set COM port to COM5
   1. 1. Open Device Manager
      2. Expand Ports COM and LPT
      3. Right Click USB to Serial (COM3) and select properties
      4. Under Port Settings Tab select Advanced
      5. Change COM Port Number to COM5
      6. Hit ok to save (may require reboot)
5. Place Amtas Headphones over adapter plates on Bio Accoustic Simulator
6. Download Bio Steve Script from https://assessor.ei1.com/download/biosteve20230405.exe and save to c:\programdata\Grason-Stadler\Amtas Flex\
7. Create shortcut from Biosteve.exe to desktop (right click biosteve.exe and select send to desktop)
8. Right click biosteve shortcut on the desktop and select properties.  Set it to "Run Minimized"
9. Create BioSteve shortcut for Amtas software
   1. 1. From desktop – Right click GSI Amtas Flex shortcut and select copy (Person with headphones icon)
      2. Right click somewhere on the desktop and select paste to make a copy of the GSI Amtas Flex shortcut. 
      3. Right click new shortcut and rename to “Run Calibration Test”
      4. Right click “Run Calibration Test” shortcut and select properties.
      5. In the target field paste the following

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Grason-Stadler\GSI Amtas Flex\GSI-AMTAS.exe" /pi Bio!Steve!!Male!1/1/1970!! /tf 500,1000,2000,3000,4000,6000,8000 /fx C:\ProgramData\Grason-Stadler\GSI-AMTAS /sv

1. Hit ok to save
2. Open GSI AMTAS Flex Config on the desktop (gear icon)
   1. 1. Under Air Diagnostic
         1. 1. Check Disable Masking
